Laurence J. Martin, MD, FACS
General & Vascular Surgeon
Dr. Martin is a general and vascular surgeon who moved to the Pasco Hernando area in 1998. He attended undergraduate school at Youngstown State University, where he earned his BS degree in biology, Cum Laude 1989. He then moved to Dayton, Ohio where he attended medical school at Wright State University and received his MD degree. He continued on at Wright State University in their General Surgery Residence Program and he concentrated heavily in vascular surgery, completing his training in 1998.
Dr. Martin is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is a member of the Florida Vascular Society, Florida Medical Association, Tampa Bay Surgical Society, and a member of the Pasco County Medical Society.
Dr. Martin joined the staff at Regional Medical Center Bayonet Point in 1998, and he has performed over 9,000 operations. He has a strong interest in vascular surgery, including carotid surgery, dialysis access, abdominal aortic aneurysm surgery, and peripheral vascular surgery. He has performed numerous laparoscopic operations, including gallbladder removal and appendectomies. He has an interest in dialysis access, hernia repairs, cancer operations, head and neck operations, and numerous other general surgical procedures.
